Before I decided to become a designer, I read a lot of inspiring stories of artists. A favourite resource was Another Girl At Play, a website that featured female artists who successfully built and ran their own creative businesses. Now one particular girl stole my heart with the extreme cuteness of WHATEVER she made!
Lori Joy Smith is a versatile artist who makes the cutest, most endearing illustrations...
... the most charming paintings
... and the prettiest fabric pieces.
One blogger I used to follow had one of her nursery walls decorated with Lori Joy's portraits. I can still clearly remember how it looked like and how much my heart pounded with envy each time I saw it. Too bad the blog was deleted. :(
For those of you interested in seeing more of Lori's art, you can view her portfolio and find out more about her current endeavours through her blog/website, www.LoriJoySmith.com. She does custom work and commission for books, portraits, magazines, packaging and a whole lot more. Some artwork may also be purchased on Etsy and Society6. I hope you love her creations as much as I do. :)
NOTE: Stealing is bad! All images on this blog post are owned by Lori Joy Smith. Sweet Tutumi was just lucky to be allowed to use them for this feature. Should you wish to use them for whatever purpose, kindly seek Lori Joy's permission first. Thank you.
